Ultimate Travel Bucket List

Once you leave your town one time, and realize there’s a lot more out there to see than you thought, you can’t help but want to leave again. If I had a million dollars and no debts to pay, I’d be fulfilling my personal travel bucket list at the moment.  It would be adios to rain and cold and stress, and hola to a new adventure in a new place.

Because I know quite well that I can’t actually get away ATM, I took a trip inside my head to pull out some of my favorite daydreams. All of them involving some new place I want to be.

Since I know I can’t be the only one daydreaming like this, I thought I’d share what’s on my list so that we can both mentally enjoy it.

Cinque Terre, Italy

Located: Northwest Coast of Italy

Official Language(s): Italian

Fun Fact: This region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This place takes the cake, straightaway, because it’s been in daydreams since two years ago when I found out it was a thing. I’m in love with the colored architecture and the fact that you can probably look at it while eating tons of gelato and pasta and pizza.

Rome, Italy

Located: Western Side of Italy

Official Language(s): Italian

Fun Fact: Rome was founded in 753 BC, by a man named Romulus.

I think I also just want to go here because gelato and pasta and pizza…but I’m not sorry about it. Also, the Vatican is located here (where the Pope lives!) I would love to be able to see that one day. Plus, it seems like a city of romance to me and that’s all I have to say about that. (Que the Forrest Gump voice.)

Córdoba, Spain

Located: Southern Spain

Official Language(s): Spanish

Fun Fact: Córdoba was established by the Roman people, but eventually came back into the hands of Christians. You can see the influences of different groups of people here, and everywhere in the South of Spain.

My favorite, favorite part of the South of Spain is the influences that you see from different groups of people on the architecture. It makes something so unique and beautiful to see. I plan to explore all of this region one day. One day. Also, the picture is of Spain, but not of Córdoba…sorry y’all. Córdoba is a lot cooler and crazier than this picture suggests…so suggest doing some Googling or Pinteresting.

The Maldives

Located: In the Indian Ocean, straight south of India

Official Language(s): Dhivehi

Fun Fact: The Maldives is a set of Islands that make up their own country. Also, their official religion is Islam.

This is just one of those places you see everyone tweeting, Instagramming, blogging & YouTube-ing about recently. And I’ve never seen a place so beautiful. This would be a perfect honeymoon or getaway, although it’s definitely a long day (or two) of traveling. Could you imagine the pictures and videos you could take here? Goals.
