My Favorite Christian YouTubers

Today was going to be a day of writing about modesty and my personal views behind it, but I thought something else would be more fitting. (Look for a modesty post on Sunday.)

Anyway, yesterday something huge happened (ha ha, no pun intended). President Trump banned people who are transgender from joining or being in the army. I noticed, though, was that there was an outcry from many people who disagree with his choice. Disagreements are great, and should be welcomed all over the internet. However, the thing I barely saw any of was people standing up for PT and his ban.

First of all, I’m not naive. I know there are a lot of people who don’t like him or what he does. However, there’s a large group of people who do. Me included. Before we get too into politics, let me switch gears.

I simply want to call out my fellow like-minded friends! Too many of us stood by quietly yesterday. Terrible things were said about our president, about religion, about those who might not like PT but still supported him in his ban. While there were tons of nicely-worded/level-headed comments, there were also a lot that weren’t.

Where were we yesterday, when all eyes were staring at us, waiting for a word or phrase to be uttered? Where were our voices when they really mattered? Where were our hearts when they should’ve been poured out in gallons to those around us? These are the times when we need to show people what we believe and, more importantly, why. If we don’t, then who will? We can’t always change mindsets, but at least we can have our voice heard and maybe set a little fire inside someone’s mind. We let the debate be one-sided, when it should’ve been a conversation.

Notice I say “we” and “us”. I even call myself out, for sitting back while I should’ve been having conversations with those around me.

I know I’ve successfully turned this blog post into a rant, but here’s the main point: no matter what you believe, you should never be afraid to stand up for it. Strength can be endless, if you allow it to be.

Now that I’ve lifted a fifty-pound weight off of my heart, I wanted to share with you the meaning for this blog post. Below are my tried & true, favorite, Christian YouTubers. Every day, they’re sharing the truth and life that many of us are afraid to talk about. Trust me, I do not count myself out of your group. I’m afraid, too. However, I hope these YouTubers can showcase to you what true strength is, despite the oppression around them.

Watch how much fire they’ve got coming from their souls. You’ll love it.

SADIE ROBERTSON

This girl is wonderful. Some of you may recognize her from Duck Dynasty, where she’s one of the daughters of the family. I love her sense of confidence and true adoration of the Lord. This is my favorite video of hers.

GIRL DEFINED

These two ladies run an online blog, and have branched out into YouTube as well. This message is one everyone should listen to. Regardless of who you are!!

EMILY WILSON

God bless Emily. I swear. I’m not sure how I found her on YT, but I’m forever grateful that I did. She’s an incredible speaker and insanely smart when it comes to the hard topics in living a Catholic/Christian life. There’s no fear there when she talks about these things. You’ll instantly fall in love with her enthusiasm after you watch one video.

JORDAN LEE DOOLEY

I’m sure this is the name, if any, that you’ll pick up on right away. She’s the author/creator of Soul Scripts, which is an amazing blog and online community. She’s written tons of devotionals and beautiful blog posts that you’re going to want to read. I was so excited to see that she was also on YT, although she only has a few videos. Either way, follow this lady.

I was sad to realize that I only have four YouTubers that I’m subscribed to and watch constantly. If you all have any other suggestions, please let me know!

I’d also like to encourage the rest of you, if you’re Christian or Catholic and excited about it, to create a channel or a blog. Just like these woman, you could reach so many ladies (and men!) that are searching for someone to understand what they’re going through and who need someone that can give them that God-centered advice. When you share your beliefs, you’ll realize you aren’t alone.

  2. Very good blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for
a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally confused ..
    Any recommendations? Thanks!

    1. Hi! I’d do a paid option because you get so much more freedom and you can get cheap plans. Mine’s literally 4 bucks a month. Super affordable. Plus, when you pay for a domain and a host site, you’ll get to download WordPress for free! With tons more options on it.
